Shit. So I’ve just been through half of District 9 and only just realized that the aliens are supposed to have subtitles but my copy of the movie had no subtitles. So I’ve just spent half the movie thinking that the aliens were these misunderstood, victimized creatures being terrorized by humans and now I’m going to have to rewatch the whole thing and re-evaluate my opinions....
Today I got mistaken in Myer as being a year 10 on school holidays to which I replied “no. I’ve already graduated… from uni” and then I proceeded to go home and race my sister in finding Wally on every page of the Where’s Wally calender hanging on my wall. Summer holidays.

I had a dream the other night about my high school Specialist maths teacher, Mr C, who I haven’t seen in 4 years. This is the maths teacher who I used to idolize in high school and who had me convinced that I wanted to pursue a career in maths. (I’ve never seen anyone else display the same level of enthusiasm in the teaching of maths that Mr C did.)
